Hello, I am Kevin from Lower Hutt, NZ. In a decade long ago I was a systems engineer in the Wellington region and now a senior advisor for a central government agency. The days of assembly and related support are well behind as corporate took over smaller operations. Life moves on.
A good deal of regular trades are on Trademe. But we’ve also got everything, and more, right here where we first populate our offerings, pre-existing gear (like the assembly support materals) and imported goods. We are also working on podcasts to make available small trade and tech skills and welcome your input, or recordings, to add to the mix.
Seriously, the world has forgotten the highly ‘desired’ skills sets of the 1980 – 2010’s system techies like me, so much that we don’t even get a thought, mention but a mere, ocassional ask, such as ‘how do I fix this, can you fix that.’ People aren’t interested in paying for that knowhow, or skill, so why not do podcasting instead and leave you to deal with your cellular provider or large footprint techie store who knows almost nothing technically. Just enough to how to sell. And often interest free. So you don’t need us. But you might enjoy the podcasts so you can at least do better than trashing your junk.
